Phil Gordon opened to 1,500 from the hi-jack position and found one caller in the big blind.
The flop came and the big blind checked, prompting a 2,500 c-bet from Gordon. The big blind tanked and tossed in a raise. Gordon responded by re-raising and his opponent went all in. Gordon called (with slightly more) and saw that he was a slight favorite to win the large pot.
The turn and river bricked for Gordon's opponent and he was sent to the rail.
"I was kind of hoping he hit," a fellow table-mate said. "It's nothing personal!"
The table enjoyed a slight laugh. Gordon is up to 90,000.
